Andre Spicer is a lifelong Compton resident, public servant, and grassroots leader with a proven track record of getting things done. A successful entrepreneur and civic advocate, he rose to prominence after helping expose one of the city’s most consequential voter fraud schemes. He played a key role in restoring integrity to Compton’s electoral process and shifting the local political landscape.

In 2021, Andre was elected as Councilmember for Compton’s 2nd District on a platform grounded in five key priorities: Public Safety, Economic Development, Housing, Culture, and Transparency. He didn’t just campaign on promises. He delivered results.

Throughout his term, Andre led efforts to shut down illegal dispensaries operating in defiance of local laws, installed traffic safety measures to curb street takeovers, and cleared nuisance properties and encampments near schools to protect residents and restore peace to neighborhoods. He hosted expungement clinics to help people get a second chance and partnered with community leaders to bring direct support to families in need.

On the economic front, Andre connected over 220 residents to jobs through local hiring events and job fairs, launched workforce development programs in partnership with WERC, and worked with banks to provide small business resources. He also played a key role in attracting new businesses and nonprofits to better serve Compton residents.

When it came to housing, Andre partnered with advocates to help prevent evictions, supported the rehousing of more than 140 individuals, and secured free roofing supplies for 75 senior homeowners in partnership with Owens Corning. He also revitalized public parks, organized citywide cleanups and concerts, and brought cultural programming and civic pride back to the forefront of Compton’s community life.

True to his commitment to transparency, Andre went live weekly to recap council meetings, launched three nonprofits focused on wellness, youth support, and food access, and helped distribute groceries, gas, medical services, and baby supplies to thousands of families.

Now, he’s running for Mayor of Compton, driven by a vision for what the city can be when leadership is honest, bold, and rooted in the people. His campaign builds on lived experience, real impact, and a deep belief that when the community rises, the city thrives.

"I made promises. I delivered results. Now I’m ready to lead Compton into its next chapter—stronger, safer, and more united."
