"...all that changes when you know your history. Its funny how knowing your history can dictate where you are today and where you have the potential of going in the future."
- Councilman Andre Spicer

Before the title, there was purpose. Andre Spicer’s story begins long before City Hall — on the blocks of Compton where community meant everything. A proud son of this city, Spicer grew up witnessing both its beauty and its struggle. From mentoring youth and organizing block cleanups to showing up for neighbors in times of need, his leadership began with love for the people, not politics.
He lost by one vote — but something didn’t add up. In 2021, after being told he lost his City Council race by a single vote, Andre uncovered a story far bigger than his own. With courage and tenacity, he took on the system — exposing a web of voter fraud that ultimately led to a civil court ruling in his favor. A year later, justice prevailed, and he was rightfully sworn into office.

From day one, he got to work. Since entering office, Councilman Spicer has delivered real results. From infrastructure improvements and youth programs to increased transparency and public safety wins, he's made every moment count. His record proves what’s possible when leadership is grounded in integrity and action.
Not just change — transformation. Spicer sees a new Compton rising — one where economic opportunity thrives, families feel safe, and small businesses are supported to grow. His vision focuses on revitalizing corridors, expanding homeownership, strengthening city services, and building a legacy of Black wealth and innovation rooted in Compton.

He’s running for Mayor. And he’s ready. Everything has led to this moment. Councilman Andre Spicer is stepping up to lead Compton forward — with the experience, integrity, and commitment our city deserves. The same grit that brought him into office is now driving his mayoral campaign. This is the movement. This is the moment.
